ZePure trio will be perform at the chamber series at California State University, Northridge. The program will consist of various classical dances, including selections from ballets by Aram Khachaturian, and other Armenian composers.

Ovanes Arakelyan will perform “ Quartour pour la fin du Temps” (Quartet for the End of Time) by Olivier Messiaen, along with esteemed musicians such as Ani Aznavoorian on the cello, Steven Zander on the violin, and Juan Gallegos on the clarinet. The quartet is an eight-movement piece, scored for clarinet, violin, cello and piano. Messiaen wrote the piece while a prisoner of war in German captivity and it was first performed by his fellow prisoners. It is generally considered one of his most important works.

Ovanes Arakelyan will perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the Symphony of the Verdugos and “Noctrune” by Babajanian for piano and orchestra. The concert will consist of other works by various Armenian composers.

Ovanes Arakelyan and Nick Akdag direct the chamber groups at Ventura College. They not only coach the groups, and perform with them, they organize all of classical chamber music at VC with various coaches. All the groups will perform at the Yunker Auditorium at Ventura College on Oct 27th at 3:00 pm.

Ovanes Arakelyan will perform with the orchestra in the production of Sondheim's "Sunday in the Park With George." This is part of the biennial production of Ventura College Opera and Musical Theater directed by Brent Wilson.

As a chamber coach and performer for the 2024 Schwab Music Academy, Ovanes will perform the Mendelssohn piano trio in D minor, Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 and Barber Violin Concerto.

Ovanes Arakelyan will be the pianist for the production of Ravel's "The Child and the Spells." Performing with the Ventura College Opera and Musical Theater.

From June 2023-2024 marks the 120th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian. ZePure will feature an all Khachaturian program from Suites like the “Masquerade” to excerpts from ballets such as “Gayane” and “Spartacus.”
